Very slowly but it's getting there.

I'm trying to think of a way to implement a stamina system inside of a turn based RPG. Right now my idea is to have a certain amount of actions per turn (sort of like FFXIII, where you have 1 ATB then gain up to 5 later on) and the gear your wear decreases the amount of turns you have.

all RPGs are based on the basic tripartite class structure, which apparently goes deep in human consciousness and genetic memory. gameplay wise this equates to DPS vs speed vs healing, ie. id, ego, superego; warriors, artisans, and brahmins. all subsequent classes are variations of these archetypes, for instance the spellsword as dps-int. so my answer to you would be to think about different ways that you can recombine these archetypes, or even make an original class system that doesn't rely on this tripartite schema, based on alternative archetypes from reading Jung, for instance.

Spells-Word, a type of mage that casts spells by spelling their names. Really slow casting time but really powerful results

Fellow researcher! Surely we will accumulate enough data to make the best game ever!
That's totally what we are doing.
