Not really, a good HDR display does look better than basic color contrast. The issues come when games like Bo3 use HDR as an excuse to make everything terrifyingly bright.

It makes shit washed out no matter what settings I use on any TV I had. the only advantage I see over SDR is being able to see more detail in dark places like caves in games without having to ramp up gamma.
