Who has the more mismanaged FRANCHISE?

Sonic by far

This was still worse than anything Boom did.

Bomberman

pacman was actually good. sonic wasnt, which is why the entire degenerate fandom is about the character and not the game.

Sonic 3 was actually good, & Knuckles, they are easily on par with the Nintendo and Rare platformers of the time. That's it though. Sonic 1 was badly designed and Sonic 2 was too easy. So you basically have a whole franchise built off of one good game, and then Mania was also good because it knew what made Sonic 3 good

sonic mania was basically a "best of" of sonic games

Sonic Boom never did anything bad outside having a buggy console game. Sonic still has Pac-Man beat anyway by having his literal corpse kissed by a human princess in one of his mainline games.
"Aw man I'm a meme" is just a dumb joke in a spinoff cartoon.

Pacman, I do not care about Sega's dying animal

That explains why it was terrible.

Reminder : The original Pac, his dog, his wife, and almost all of his children are canonically in Hell

Pac-Man is only considered "mismanaged" by autists who obsess over the 3D platformers from two decades ago.

Sonic EASY
At least Pac-Man was actually good once sonic was never good

How is it terrible?
At the very least, its better than almost every recent game the Sonic Team has produced.

The "legacy franchise" direction isn't working. It's no wonder nobody gives a shit about the IP anymore compared to the 2000's.

>an 80s arcade game transitioned better into 3D than sonic

>Sonic
Healthy multimedia franchise (movies, comics, tv shows etc.) but terrible output for games.
>Pac-Man
Laid low in recent years, the only new games are mobile shovelware and a collection of old games.

pacman literally lost his wife because of licensing

>Healthy multimedia franchise
>Healthy
what sonic fans are doing with their lives is not healthy, that i can tell you

Providing pc sales for a compilation game released on a platform where people can already emulate said games isn't a very strong argument.

>Bamco loses rights to Ms. Pac-Man due to legal issues
>Sega never fully owned most of the soundtracks used in the original Sonic trilogy
What is with these companies.
