I'd like the dodge not to be on release and instead on the press. That's really it.

Make parrying not a complete crapshoot where some enemies you have to parry on the very first frame of the start of their attack windup animation, some during the very first frame of the start of when they actually attack, and some during the first frame of when they're almost hitting you.

Using heavy weapons or dual wielding should decrease your stamina regen by a considerable amount, you shouldn't be able to kill crucible knights before seeing most of their move set

It shouldn't have existed in the first place you smoothbrain. The fundamental concept of Elden Ring goes against everything that made these games unique and worthwhile in the first place. They had no choice but to make it the way it is, because it's a sequel targeting the unwashed masses. For what it is, the combat is actually fine, its everything around it that sucks.

remove iframes from rolls and make it more a positioning tool and to avoid slow unblockable attacks and make fast attacks blockable

or remove iframes from rolls and give rolls a damage reduction by 50%

More attacks to choose from instead of R1, R1, R1, left right left or R2, R2, R2 forward back forward, or a shitty ash of "war" that sucks dick at being useful against anything

I started playing with that mod "swordmanship" and the game got much better for my taste. The main change is not even the parry, but the fact that the roll was replaced by the Bloodbourne dodge. This alone creates a totally different dynamic to the game. Parries are fun too, the battles stop being based on just wait + iframes + punish.

It literally just needs sekiro deflect/perfect block which is already in the game but poorly implemented that's literally it, just add that and the game would be 100% better.

Nioh predates sekiro by 2 years nigger

I know their mainline games are popular for making different builds but melee combat has been increasingly more frustrating and less fun. You can still have your rollspam and caster gameplay if you want but let me play agressively, bump up the difficulty if you want but let me actually fight back instead of sitting there like a retard waiting for the boss to finish his 20 hit combo in hope he lets me r1 him once or twice.
