Trouble with the trolley, eh?
Trouble with the trolley, eh?
Spyro 1 > Spyro 2
Fuck minigames.
Cope harder faggot
Is the Spyro remake trilogy worth getting? I've never played the Spyro games, are you jealouse I get to play it for the first time?
You eatin' right, boy?
>durrrrr cope
I'm not the one pretending applying DK64 tier trash to my game is an improvement.
Remake 1 is an improvement in spite of some weird art decisions just because you have camera control. It helps a lot.
Remake 2 isn't especially better or worse.
Remake 3 made the buddies control better so, again, better gameplay experience.
If you could compare it to other 3D platformers of the era, what's the closest one.
A few things objectively look better, a few other things are too cartoony or childish. For example some of the Gnorcs had guns in the original games but they got replaced with goo cannons (although weirdly enough the dinosaurs in Dino Mines still have their guns). One of the bosses in 3 got nerfed but one of the bosses in 2 got buffed. The biggest change is probably the dragons in 1, in the original they're just regular dragons but in the remake they all have unique designs to reflect the world they're from, some people don't like it but I think it's an ok change
I'd say overall it's alright
It's weird because Spyro handles vaguely like a tank in some regards. Slow turn radius.
I think it's better to say that if you played Ratchet & Clank, you've played faster Spyro with a gun. Jak 2 also has a similar feel. Crash isn't a good comparison because Spyro has more Banjo-Kazzoie like level design.
Cowardly bosses that run away fucking suck. That said Spyro is still better than 3.
any of the minigames in Spyro 2 are infinitely better than any of the trash in Spyro 3
>Crash isn't a good comparison because Spyro has more Banjo-Kazzoie like level design.
I tried the Crash trilogy, and I did not like the platforming in Crash games. I think the series is mediocre, not fun at all.
But Spyro looks way more promising.
The bosses were bad in all three games so I don't care. 1 had great level design and the least trashy side content.
It's a bit weird but I think the Crash games are good. They just have different expectations and ideas than most platformers.
Spyro is similarly stiff in ways, but his levels are designed to be more forgiving to player error.
Compared to other collectathons is known more for its uniqueness and technical achievements. It had pretty and unusual looking worlds that for the time were relatively detailed and large in scope, an unusual concept of playing as a dragon, a character that was able to glide, and a nice soundtrack
fuck this shitty minigame peeepee poopoo muh fucking trolley. funny how people shit on 3's minigames but go completely silent when it comes to talking about 2's minigames. fuck robotica farms
Wait, this game has tank controls??
Hockey can eat my ass.
No, Spyro just moves *like* a tank. His turn radius is slow compared to other mascot platformers.
Ok because tank control are ass.
No he doesn't play like Croc or anything like that. I think that user is just trying toi say Spyro sucks at turning.
user is saying that Spyro isn't as nimble as 3D Mario and some movement options (gliding, charge, etc) stop him from making wide turns.
It's not literally Resident Evil-tier tank controls he just doesn't turn as quickly as someone like Mario
