Why is it so bad?
Why is it so bad?
>I may be a murderin and stealing outlaw, Dutch, but I sure as hell ain't now racist.
It has it's flaws but it's not?
It's not
DUTCH?
>Game set in the lawless west
>Punishes you for breaking "the law"
Also it emphasises freedom of choice, until you come across a side mission with a slaver and all control is taken away from you and any RP you may have with your character goes out the window :^)
You have adhd
Terrible pacing, unecessary bloat and filler, every story mission is a tutorial
RDR2 is one of the games of all time with global worldwide reviews.
The point of the game is that the lawless west is dying.
All missions are linear, this isnt an rpg.
Only chapter 1 and 2 are tutorials, I thought the pacing was great maybe Guarma could be taken away but I didnt mind
>I may may walk, run, and turn with the speed of a warship on a windless sea, Dutch, but at least my animations look good
>hold A to enter cinematic mode where the game plays itself for minutes at a time
I was so disgusted I almost spat at my TV
All the effort went into autistic attention to detail instead of making a good game. Lets compare the multiplayer of rdr1 and rdr2
Rdr1
>seamless menu
>immediate access to various modes
>free roam
>traditional deathmatch
>objective modes
Rdr2
>forced to go through a story mode lite tutorial
>with fucking cutscenes
>arcade modes thrown out the window
Not to mention the pozzed writing with absolutely no substance or wit. The entirety of rdr2 cant even compare to the undead nightmare expansion in terms of both quality and quantity.
All the GRAFIX in the world arent gonna change anything if the game is a hassle to play. I spent hours playing rdr1 multiplayer and I could barely get beyond the cutscene ridden tutorial in rdr2s multiplayer. Uninstalled it quite quickly
It's a really impressive game but I don't really enjoy playing it. For me, it's the world design. Missions have you dragging yourself across large swathes of the map rather than isolating themselves to smaller areas to interact with. There are so many little stories to find but minimal interactivity. The whole damn thing moves at a snail's pace. I wouldn't fault you for considering it one of the best games ever made, in many ways it's a technical masterpiece. I just hate the actual missions and the way the large world is implemented into them.
Why?
RDRO exists tardo
That isn't true. Missions are not linear. Overall they can be completed in different orders with how many ways the main story branches off via the camp. Also each player has a different play style. Some are killers, some refuse to kill.
>buy video game
>play video game
>game tells you to put down the controller and just watch the pretty graphics
Unacceptable. Either remove the normie/journo friendly mode or make traversing the world less boring.
As far as I'm concerned it's the equivalent of a long loading screen where you're supposed to check your phone and tell your friends on social media how much you like the game.
The game is cool, but I can't get over the lack of side activities lile arm wrestling, dueling (I don't count this one mission), nightwatch, liar's dice, horse taming, horsebreaking etc.
I'm not missing the lack of Mexican clothing like sombreros, ponchos, etc.
Literally why does Rockstar with every new game have to remove some of the best activities from previous games in favor of "muh realism and muh euphoria physics"
>doing the missions
sounds gay
Too much story. Too many cinematics. Slow pace.
adhd
I still remember to the user who was complaining about how he can't find peace anywhere on the game's huge map, as no matter where goes "something always happens" around him. Then somebody hit him with a "Now you know how Arthur feels" reply. Whenever something randomly reminds me to this exchange I can't help but giggle.
>the online is completely dead compared to gta
what a shame how did they fuck that one up?
Honestly the game is good, even though the wokeness bothers me.
Like that quest with the slaver where the game completely shifts atmosphere and you're supposed to feel horrified as Arthur *slowly* explores the house to find things like... shackles. Wow, did this idiot forget he shoots people for money?
It's missing actual content, missions not being very good, except for a few, suppose to be an outlaw but doesn't translate well since your character has a conscience and regrets alot. Stranger missions weren't that good.
>mission with sadie and john at the end was a remake of the most popular grinding mission in red dead online 1
>"slavery bad" is wokeness
I honestly can't tell if these /vpol/ posts are supposed to be satirical or if I'm falling for the bait
