when's the last time you played FATE? loved it growing up but I tried replaying it recently and it's actually boring as shit; are all Diablo-esque games this boring or is this one just uniquely bad?

Probably like 10 fucking years desu. I played it growing up but I still remember it very well. It's pretty boring but I find most Diablo dungeon crawling games to be boring. Something about fate though I don't know maybe it was just kind of the accessibility of it. But I had a lot of fun the simplicity of it especially with the game letting you go through all the different portals to see other worlds. Enemy variety was interesting enough to keep me entertained as well. I wouldn't say fate is bad in comparison to other Diablo like games it's very I would say entry level but they manage to do it pretty well.

Gameplay wise, they're practically identical. What it really comes down to is setting and story. Personally, I liked 4's setting, story, and characters much more than 3's.
