Should I play Megaman X6 or move on to Zero after beating X5?

Move on to Zero. The devs didn't have a fucking clue how to evolve X's gameplay, and they kept shoving him off to the side because the entire time Inafune wanted Zero, the self-repair reploid to be the main character the entire time.
Good lord X6 was a fucking pile of shit
you should play X8 and then move on to Zero
zerofag here
is x6 truly that bad?
Zero is the better game but do whatever the fuck you want.
Yes.
X6-8 is basically an entirely different arc at this point. You won't be missing anything, story-wise if you go to Zero.
ZXA does a bit of a bait-and-switch for those who played the later X games, but that's about it.
download patch to fix x6 for perfect experience.
X6 is a fucking disaster but there's a hack that really goes a long way to make the game tolerable. It's still the second worst game in the series but the fixes to the core mechanics and bosses go a long way for it since it's built on a good engine. If you're really interested in the game and don't care about getting a vanilla experience try that version out.
>Model A has a shapeshifting ability like Axl
>so he's model Axl
>"Model A refers to me, Albert"
>like i said, model Axl
Honestly just move on to Zero. It'll allow you to keep your memories of the X games positive
Skip both.
This entire playthrough is such a joy to watch.
Compared to previous X games? Absolutely.
Compared to, say, Mega Man DOS? It's not that bad.
It probably would be the worst X game if X7 didn't exist. X6 is down right playable compared to 7.
never gets old
skip x6 and x7, play x8/command mission
then play zero 1-4
It's only bad if you play as X. Playing as Zero makes it actually fun.
X6 is legit better than Z1 and anyone who says otherwise is looking at the game through rose-tinted glasses. It was ebin trendy angry video game nerd culture to call X6 the worst game ever made long ago, which Any Forums parrots because they watch youtube videos instead of actually playing video games.
Do not get me wrong, X6 is an awful game, but anyone that says skip it is retarded.
I played X6 for the first time 3 years ago with Legacy Collection. It was awful, downright miserable experienve, with level design that would make Mario Maker rejects blush. It was embarrasing coming from the same series that created the first 4 X games.
X6 is more fun than X3 and X4, and that fun increases when you know what to do on repeat playthroughs. X6 is an IQ test.
It depends on how much you enjoyed X5. If you thought it was at least okay you may like X6, it has more bullshit but there's no RNG endings or Alia interruptions at least. I enjoyed it more just because of that.
>X6 is more fun than X3 and X4
>X6 is an IQ test.
I've never read a bigger cope. And all for the sake of contrarianism. Is it really rewarding to live like that? Always having to come up with nonsense to spout? To try and feel like you stand out from the crowd?
Would the Ultimate Armor midigate the pain or is it still going to be hell to trudge through the game?
X3 is a mess and X4 is boring/very, very easy.
>”to be fair, you have to have to understand X6” uniroically
The positives.
-the soundtrack is incredible
-it looks and controls just as well as the previous two games
-there is actually a good story buried underneath the awful translation, with a lot of character for Gate, Alia, and most of the Nightmare Hunters
-the Maverick weapons are fun and useful
The negatives.
-basically everything else, especially level design and the Nightmare System
do not play x6 without the mod
x7 is ass
x8 is actually decent, but a couple of the stages suck
Just play it and find out.
