Miyamoto got punished with movie and theme park duties after the embarassing public failure of Star Fox Zero.
Nintendo does this with half the games they announce dude
My guess is that the Pikmin 3 port did not sell well
Why not just remaster 1 and 2 instead. Pikmin as a concept is pretty much run its course anyways.
>Pikmin as a concept is pretty much run its course anyways
lol, lmao
Nintendo no longer make games.
Arlo
It's actually the best selling game in the series and Nintendo recent name Pikmin as one of their "household names". This plus Bloom on mobile and the theme park cameos proves Nintendo sees value in the IP (Even if potentially via nepotism through Miyamoto), they just don't wanna bother funding an expensive mainline game right now.
arlo?
I hated the controls on the port
That's what you get for listening to Eurogamers Tom Phillips bullshit.
Probably the exact same situation as Pikmin 3
>Development almost entirely finished for one system (Wii/Wii U)
>Last minute shift to the next system (Wii U/Switch)
>Development basically restarted from scratch because it's not a modern Miyamoto game if it's not using every single feature of the system
It was Miyamoto's little autism project to keep him away from anything else. Then the theme park happened and that overtook it.
bump
I've been making my own pikmin clone these last few weeks.

Lol lmao
gotta try, its my favorite series, and if kid-me knew I did this he'd do a flip, shit into the air while flipping, land on his feet, and the shit would land on his head as a hat. Here's the ship parts.
Looks neat
Thank you, I've got a gameplay video too
