Why are gamers in perpetual denial about politics in games, Any Forums?

Most of these politics are applicable to the common individual and are ultimately relatable but not the same as modern politics. They exist in a fantasy and don't push the agenda modern politics has.

When someone complains about something being political they aren't saying they don't want any political discussions. Final Fantasy VII and MGS (And probably most of those other games) present complex issues with no clear answers, trusting the consumer to draw their own conclusions. If I'm complaining about politics in a game, then the game was probably more concerned with proselytizing than with giving me something to chew on mentally.

Why don't people understand politics in a games setting is not the same thing as injecting real world politics into the game? The military politics of metal gear are interesting because it's part of the setting, part of the ideals of the game and characters.
