Scrolling past tons of garbage to find a good game I might like is extremely frustrating. In the time that OP made this thread and I'm writing this reply I bet there's 20 games released on steam. Do I spend 5 minutes on each of them to look at the video, the description and ideally the reviews?
There's thousands of indie games out there and most of them will be lackluster. It would be nice if someone officially weeded out the ones that are opportunistic garbage, blatant asset flips, reskins, wholesale copies, and other miscellaneous dreck.
Yes, back in the Nintendo "Seal of Quality" days there was tons of garbage, too, but a lot less of it numerically.
