3 color ending. Didn't matter anyway.

>Was he right?
About which part?

>LE EPIC VILLAIN WAS RIGHT MAYMAY
>LE EPIC BAD GUY DID NOTHING WRONG MAYMAY

Why did the reapers even need the citadel when in part 3 they just invade without it and almost win anyway?

he's the classic "if we work for the bad guys maybe they'll spare us" character, nothing about it was right, doubly so when we learn that they're only use them to search out pockets of resistence to destroy them
you could argue that he didn't know that but at that point its too late to reason with him

no, he was indoctrinated and deluded thinking that by becoming half machines the reapers would spare organics

No, but he would have killed himself earlier if he knew that the galaxy would have reacted the way they were written in ME2 and 3

neck.

Yes, if you believe the green ending is the best outcome

Which it was

The ending isn't even that bad anymore, it's not perfect or anything but it's fine

>Synthesis fag
No. Destroy is the only correct option. Synthesis is paragon bait and Control is renegade bait, both due to indoctrination.
>but the devs said there was no indoctrination
I don't give a fuck what the devs said, the ending, especially him taking a breath, makes absolutely no sense unless there is.

>no, he was indoctrinated and deluded thinking that by becoming half machines the reapers would spare organics

That's literally what fucking happens in Synthesis though, and it works

>tfw a reddit meme is low key making sense af fr fr no cap

>especially him taking a breath
You heard it here first folks, you only breath if you're indoctrinated

Remind me again, why did nobody get ready for the reapers after 1 and 2?

>green ending is the best outcome
Dumbest fucking ending of all time that immediately degrades the quality of an already terrible ending by an immeasurable amount
It's beyond retarded because if you believe Synthesis is the ultimate option (it isn't) then Control is the best ending lmao
If you believe Synthesis is the best, then you can take control of the Reapers and since the Citadel and Reapers are intact in the Control ending, you'll go enact it
If for some reason you believe that Control is a trick and you're being indoctrinated or some shit it doesn't even matter, because the Catalyst states that their ultimate goal is Synthesis. You have no conflict with them so in the worst case you get indoctrinated into believing what you already do and in the best case you just get more time to verify your conclusions and make sure the galaxy is ready yourself
>what if muh Shepard becomes power hungry
You have to go through some serious mental contortions to justify Synthesis while being a Renegade Shepard, which is where the power hungry Shep comes in
There is no logical argument for Synthesis over Control if you buy into the bullshit logic that Synthesis is preferable
And there's of course no logical argument for Synthesis over Destroy or Control if you don't buy into that logic
It's a piece of shit ending and if it weren't for the fact that ME3 gets fucked in the ass right after the space battle cutscene in Priority Earth ends, it would've gotten the vitriol that it specifically deserves
Oh I forgot that the IT existed
Never mind synthesis is the second dumbest ending of all time

The idea is (or was) that the Citadel itself was a mass relay. Specifically the control center of all the Mass Relays. The Reapers would warp in and turn everything that set up shop in the Citadel into the Reaper goo. Then while everyone else was still trying to figure out what happened, the Reapers would turn off all the Mass Relays, making it impossible for the galaxy to coordinate efforts against them. With the galaxy isolated, confused, and weakened the Reapers would wipe all life with their superior firepower and then reset the Citadel for the next spacefaring race. With the Prothean sabotage, the Keepers did not call the Reapers on time and when Sovereign woke up to figure out what the fuck was happening, the galaxy was able to find a way to kill it. With the Citadel not connected to Dark Space, the Reapers had to walk all the way from intergalactic space into the Milky Way.

The real plot hole is why the fuck the Reapers decided to prioritize Earth over everything rather than bumrush the Citadel which is the only reason the galaxy is able to fight back at all? More importantly why all the other races were willing to abandon their homes to fight for Earth. Did everyone know the Reapers would take the Citadel to Earth ahead of time? Did everyone read ME3's script?

>nooooo, Shepard, who has been involved in constant war and seen a ridiculous number of fucked up, awful things, totally just got PTSD from seeing some ship with a random kid he never met before explode
>the dreams don't mean anything bro
>space kid being that kid doesn't mean anything either bro
You have to be genuinely retarded to not believe there was clear intent for that to be the case originally, before whatever leaked or whatever.

You have the reapers by the balls at that moment, Saren was just on his way of becoming the next prototype of collectors.

He was left-leaning

>Yes, if you believe the green ending is the best outcome
>Which it was
In your dreams, Casey.
