Based devs, collectathon completionists deserve the rope.

never got into collecta-thons, but do people actually enjoy shit like this?

>apply better together patch
>can change kongs on the fly with the D-pad
>game is fun again
simple as

dk64 was always a shittier banjo game

DK64 is the Elden Ring of 1999. Sometimes more is less.

>do shit like this for giggles
>wonder why gamers don't like collectathons by the next console gen
Banjo Kazooie remains the only good collectathon, not even Tooie compares

True. Banjo is the peak example of good collectathon

Games can indeed be described and labeled based on how long they've existed since the last celestial rotation around our star, or how many iterations of the selfsame have happened.

hey everyone look at this dumbass

I didn't know that existed. That fixes a LOT of what's wrong with DK64. There's still way too much shit, but fuck the backtracking most of all.

Cope, DK64 was critically accalimed and sold millions. DK Rap remains iconic to this day.

That's fine, I love the DK rap and I do kind of like DK64 for a number of reasons. It's just not a well-designed game.

Kys

nobody tell him

dk64 was so bad it made me buy a ps2 instead of a gamecube.

that was good foresight, none of rare's gamecube stuff was particularly good

>CHANGE KONGS WITH DPADS
>LET ALL KONGS COLLECT EVERYTHING

This ruins the entire point of the game
You want to fix the game, you add more tag barrels, not compromise the game's design you giant crybabies

DK64 was never a good game, but it had a lot of charm. the backtracking kills any replay unless you're an actual autist.

They made one game for Gamecube.

yeah I got a gamecube later and it didnt compare to the ps2s library at all.
just like n64 and ps1 but I had no money for that back then.

oh yeah
