Left
Fuck Borderlands

Left, just feels meatier

Left. It's easier to understand and comprehend the scale

Japan does the garbage on the right
America does the sensible thing on the left.

Left

I remember a few years back I tried the elder scrolls mmo just to give it a shot. Literally the first enemies had me hitting for thousands of damage, meaning it wouldn’t be long before I was hitting for millions and hp and damage were so abstracted to be meaningless

Right at the start of the game, left at the end.

right
bigger is better

First one is early game, second is end game.

50 damage
1000 hp

name 5

I'm working on an RPG and I noticed with smaller numbers you often run into fractions more which are not nice to play with or see.

Larger numbers are better in my opinion but you should try and tame them as much as possible since large numbers are too noisy. I like the comfy feeling of smaller numbers. There is something very satisfying when you get a new piece of gear and +10 damage feels huge.

HP values (and damage values) should never go about 100k

Is that TES6?

50000 damage
100 hp

start out on left, end up on right, gives you a sense of progression.

so round them up or down. I don't understand the issue.

Jackie Chan
Shit.

how does fraction come up more? couldnt you just round up or down, or only let weapons do whole number damages? like only letting it do 10 instead of 8.8 or whatever?

(your game looks cool and i wish you luck in making it)

left. on rsc hitting 20s+ was kino. fast forward to rs2-rs3 when they added the decimal to "be accurate" but i still looked at hitting a 237 as a 23 etc.

Left but randomly it shows you right even if it's still left under the hood.
