You were fooled by Any Forums the game is shit and I will explain why:

>No indication of where roads lead
>No hint to what enemies are weak to
>No hint of when enemies are alone or in groups
>No warning to avoid status effects
>No clue to which items are masterworks

I don't know how people defend this game.

Its a circlejerk like New Vegas

It has a mod that was on nexus that got took down because the author actually wanted money but barely anyone donated and now it's on some discord where he's begging for money again. It's not a paid mod so you can download it there.

The game has high potential, it just needs a better open world, and more NPC interaction and branching paths for the story.

It's always had its niche, but this amount of hype is inexplicable to me. And it's not just limited to Any Forums, everyone's acting like this is the greatest thing ever while I'm left scratching my head.

It's got the Xenoblade Chronicles situation of being a marginally okay game when the rest of the competition was either shit or nonexistent.

Dragon's Dogma came out in 2012, when there was a huge drought of JRPGs.

It was literally a choice between this, Tales of Graces, and Final Fantasy 13-2. What would you pick?

You are on Any Forums, we are the niche. Dragons Dogma is an exceptional but flawed Game which scratched and itch most others couldn't even dream of scratching.

Same, It's starting to feel like it's one of those games you pretend to like now.
This allows you to create a loli/shota and you get a tiny bit of benefit from it during the goblin raid mission.

I picked Dragon's Dogma and to me it kinda solidified the fact that open world games were getting boring. Plus I remember it having a weird letterbox resolution for some reason and generally looking and running bad

Do not get spoilered, buy or pirate the game and find out. He's amazing.
