Predictions about some of the cryptic lines in the trailer

"I've been searching for you" is Aerith to Cloud. Because it's EXACTLY like the Gold Saucer line on their date. Very confident in this.

And also this is a time loop they're both stuck in. Maybe Cloud caused the time loop to save Aerith (hence why he keeps seeing her die) and she wants him to accept her fate to be free of his regrets. This is speculative.

"I'm sorry, I feel like I failed you" is maybe Cloud to Aerith but it feels more like what Cloud says to Tifa when he's 'revealed' as a clone with no real history who simulated her memories of a boy named Cloud.

So Rebirth will stop at Whirlwind Maze. Which I don't agree with as a natural stopping place, I think Forgotten Capital is better. The snowy journey to the Maze would be great as a start to Part 3 while escaping Junon with half the game being the Cloud's Past cutscene seems far less balanced.

Basically Part 2 I fear will be overstuffed with too many moments of extreme pathos (Aerith Dying and then Cloud's False Identity) While Part 3 will be anemic with little to do that isn't a flashback.

We'll see.
