Not until they let me solo the entire main story, what the fuck is taking them so long? By the time honor gets released for everything they will probably have another expansion at the ready and I will have to rush through 200 hours of content.

Final Fantasy 14 is, without hyperbole, one of the very worst games I’ve ever played. I cannot reconcile the horrible experience playing to the end of stormblood (including doing every raid up to that point except for the last binding coil of bahamut raid) with the praise heaped upon the game and the slavish devotion of its fan base. Whenever people talk about how great this game is and how it has the best story in final fantasy i can assume only that they are lying or retarded. I genuinely cannot understand how anybody can enjoy this glorified vn and its candyland approach to combat and questing. Even calling it a game seems overgenerous because that would imply that player input matters in it even a little.

So people who have never bought or played this are ineligible for this free trial.

I just want to play as a regular FF game, I don't want to interact with other people, I already finished the main quest using the party finder long ago but it felt inconvenient getting stopped on my tracks waiting for people every time I reached a certain point in the main quest, I just want to play the game without depending on anybody else. And since this first update was for the 2.0 only I can't even jump back in until they do Heavensward, at least when they release Stormblood the next two are already solo-able but then the risk becomes of getting burnout before I reach the end since I will try to get everything done in a single month so I won't have to pay the sub for too long.

There is a free trial to lvl 60 for people who never played before

You'd be surprised how many FF fans refuse to play XIV cause they only like single player.

so you have to wait a few minutes to run dungeons, it’s not like you even actually have to interact with anyone to play this. it’s an mmo in name-only, for any practical purpose it’s a single player game
