Entry level RTS game with immense amounts of sovl.
Pikmin is wholesome fun, so much so that I made a clone of it these last two weeks.
Military RTS with little alien dudes
Reminds me of playing with army men in the garden as a kid

I'd like to see a Pikmin game with a gameplay style of SimCity, RollerCoaster Tycoon, etc where you have to survive by building entire Pikmin nests, having them collect fruit pieces in a series of desolate maps with limited resources.
Original idea with good delivery
A fun twist on the RTS genre with a lot of soul coming from the world and character designs. They're also very replayable. The games track your stats, which encourages you to be more efficient on subsequent playthroughs. They're all good games.

I really need a response on this, because I might just be retarded.
Does anyone else hate the creature design of Pikmin 3?
Not just that but the art direction as well.
Straight photorealism is not often a good choice, but in Pikmin 1 and 2 I swear it just added more soul.
This. The world, characters and enemies are extremely interesting and satisfying to play in and around.
There is also that classic nintendo soul that persists even in Pikmin 3, envoking a feeling of returning to childhood playing in the dirt in your back yard.
they taste pretty good
The environments were always meant to look realistic, IIRC the textures in the first two games were literal photos of grass and rocks n shit. The graphical fidelity just wasn't there yet, so it didn't really look photoreal yet.
*teleports behind your colony*
>here's an infestation, a raid, a manhunter pack and another raid all in the span of 10 minutes

Nintendo considers it a "Household" franchise.
Pikmin 4 when
They're cute!
Every time Nintendo makes a sequel to an older game the character and creature designs get more "video gamey," if you know what I mean. I think the same thing happened with Luigi's Mansion and the ghosts. The new designs just lack the charm of the old ones.
>>also one of your guys has an infection
Jokes on you, White Pikmin are immune to toxins
