Why did Crash 4 fail?
Why did Crash 4 fail?
stop posting cringe fanfic
bad level design, bad physics, bad controls, bad 100+% requirements. What a disappointment it was. Imagine waiting 20+ years for this lmao.
He didn’t get invited
>bad level design
You didn't think jumping on endless boxes in 2d sections for large portions of levels, not the bonus levels the real ones, were fun challenges user?
annoying butch dyke third wheel nu character, levels way too long with retarded hidden boxes
The levels suck.
no steam release
While normies and fans ate it up. There was tons of issues with the game's direction overall.
>The artstyle barely has the spirit of the original Crash, but it rather instead opts for a colourful Fortnite style where the characters and locations are much more neutered and babyifed compared to the original ND "edginess" that made Crash appealing in first place.
>Story being a complete dogshit mess that is confusing to understand and comes with annoying payoffs. Alt-Twana has a backstory that is made tragic for the sake of making her seem like a "interesting" character in a blatant way. Cortex becomes a twist villain, instead of just keeping it straight with Tophy Duo who haven't been starred as actual main villains.
>The alternative perspectives of story come off as dull and uninteresting. The new character gameplay is also dull and somewhat gimmicky in nature, with how Twana has the meme grappling hook shot that you can only activate at certain marked spots, and Dingo being similar to Kirby gameplay but clunky.
>Fun gameplay that is ultimately brought down by some stupid choices, and along with making levels far longer than they had right to be.
>Useless skins that adds way too much of unnecessary content that most players won't even bother to use due to the difficulty and tedium in collecting all of the shit, compared to relative ease of Mario Odyssey's costumes.
>That mode that makes your gameplay into garbage vomit that doesn't even add anything to the progression nor the actual game itself.
This game has some of the worst cases of fluff over actual content to make it seem like it's clock full of content but barely offers anything interesting at the same time.
All of the sony furry trash mascot platformers were really bad. There is no value in them besides overblown nostalgia for the games you played back then but anything new will fail to have that.
It's why Crash, Spyro, Jax&Dexter,, Ratshit and whatever will always be bad games with no identity besides chasing after long dead trends and worse sales than random indie games, if they get a new game at all.
>That mode that makes your gameplay into garbage vomit that doesn't even add anything to the progression nor the actual game itself.
Are you talking about the filters? yeah those are shit. They just basically mirrored the level and added a filter and called it another level. They're basically making you complete the game twice while barely changing the levels themselves
>Fun gameplay that is ultimately brought down by some stupid choices, and along with making levels far longer than they had right to be.
I agreed with this on my first playthrough but it was a lot more enjoyable the second run through
Honestly I don't get the crying about "wumpa league", even if it had not been cancelled it sounded like shit which would have killed the series anyway. Activision is retarded and multiplayer is the death of legacy game franchises
horrible, outdated bait
Because it didn’t have Tiny Tiger in it.
I'm 90% sure it's just one user in love with his own fiction
It crashed
all the new characters look like rejects.
what with everyone having coolers hair?
This. Anyone with any sort of IQ can see it was well received whether it makes you shit your pants or not.
Came out at a really shitty time and was too hard for casuals
Why?
didnt it sell millions somehow
