every mission like that is generally easy and can be cheesed quickly if you don't like it

Warcraft 3 did these well

World In Conflict was great. Each side had a set number of resource points and if you fucked up then you lost. This encouraged skilled play.

those were some of the most fun missions 2bh

>RTS game
>mission structured similarly to an actual match with extra side objectives for the player to gain an edge
>mission where you control a small group of elite units
>mission where you control a single elite unit and have to help your AI partner
>tug of war style mission
>holdout mission
>holdout but also go on the attack mission
>mini campaign where you play as another faction
>campaign unique units
>finite resources for campaign upgrades and branching paths with permanent rewards allowing for varied repeat playthroughs
Wings of Liberty was really good.

I'll fight for Lordaeron!
GET YOUR SWORD!

The levels you hate are practicing your micro skills. You just know how to macro. I know you suck at multiplayer now.

The mission in Winter Assault where you have to hold out against orks is one of my favourites. It looks so good when you have persistent corpses set to max and by the end it's just a sea of dead orks and guardsmen.

I doubt anybody is gonna know what the fuck I'm talking about, but I tried replaying SC2 protoss campaign and got hard stuck on the mission where you're on a ship, a laser is blowing up the ship, and you have to rush to the end before the laser destroys everything. All you have are zealots, sentries, and stalkers, and I have absolutely no idea how you're supposed to beat it. I don't just lose, I get fucking stomped into the ground. I have done challenge runs where I do all zerg cleared or no units lost and I can't for the life of me beat this mission. The colossi just melt my units instantly. What the fuck am I doing wrong?

the only rts I've played lego ninjago on the ds

Based

>playing tibsun
>like half of missions are commando missions
>scripted ambushes at every corner
>usually can't heal units

>it's a timed mission that requires building an expensive and generally useless gimmick unit to kill a gimmick boss

Empire Earth had a couple of those, but at the end of the mission you were able to produce units again.

That one ARM mission in Total A.
Just D-Gun everything
