>imagining extrnsive lore for sci fi/fantasy games you will NEVER make
I can’t be the only one who does this.
Imagining extrnsive lore for sci fi/fantasy games you will NEVER make
I’ve created a ridiculously detailed sci fi setting that I will never release publicly.
As a child I got pump out multiple lore systems in a day. I’m sure it was all terrible and derivative, but still it was nice how easily it came.
>that edgy cyberpunk novel I wrote when I was 16
oh no
OH NO
>he doesn't have an immense imagination world which he develops every time he goes to sleep
Just yesterday Seth finally fought against his nemesis, General Liberius on the surface of the water planet Adrach, shit's so crazy and I don't think it's gonna solve in just one or two episodes.
People who think they are creative but couldn't actually fill more than a few pages before giving up.
LMAO
I do this too, I think about trying to write it down but I probably never will. Oh well, autism is a cruel mistress sometimes
vivid fantasies or daydreams are a good sign that you’re probably more creative than 90% of plebs out there
Yeah, I love the idea of making a full rpg but that's just infeasible. Frankly any scope bigger than webgame or game jam game and I burn out pretty fast.
Maybe a comic.
I'm not saying I'm creative, my imagination world is full of cliches but I did write a 12 page pdf for the power system alone of my imagination world.
Isn’t that OP’s point?
Go to /tg/ and learn how to DM, bam you've made a game you and your friends can all enjoy.
is there such as a thing as aphantasia but for writing?
I get ideas for cool scenes, visuals, or moments, but not lore
I've always had troubles following plots, or understanding why they're interesting or relevant
I cannot fucking write for my life
>get ghosted by people who burned out on the idea of a campaign 20 minutes into their character sheet
>if you're not playing Pathfinder get jack shit responses to begin with
That's how every writer starts, user. If you can just put that stuff to paper and string it together you're doing better than most.
Write what you want to write down first, don't write it in a way where its 'chronological'. If you have an idea for a cool part but don't know how it connects, just write it down. I usually figure out the reason as I type them up trying to explain it as best I could
>That's how every writer starts, user.
I don't believe that.
Yeah, I note all my ideas down now.
My problem is I have no artistic sense whatsoever and have trouble thinking about how someone looks before writing about them. Usually I have to find art I like and THEN write fanfic shit about the people in the pieces.
Just wanted to say I have OP's pic as some baseball card I got when I was like 13. I still use it as a bookmarker. Nice.
Same. Thousands of pages. Ripped off concepts, tropes, jokes, and story arcs from various media. My writing isn't good and no-one should be subjected to it, but I find the world building and character development enjoyable. I'll also write down what I can remember of songs from dreams, not from this timeline, and put what I can on FL Studio. They are also shit, unfortunately.
Tell is about it.
