The entire point is that he's basically saying how he COULD do the right thing but still turns around and continues doing shit the evil way.
It's tragic because he comes THIS close to figuring out that he needs to turn over a new leaf and let the past drown, not because AWWW HE JUST WANTED A WIDDLE BIT OF WIND IS ALL or the Demise shit which is even worse

Its not the worst. Its anything but bad. Don't cherry pick that one boomerang "puzzle". It was just not well designed. Worst Zelda is botw in terms of dungeons and items. Its irrefutable.
