Even if at some point there were plans for SS to be the more canonic route, it does not matter.
The route is either 3rd or 4th in terms of how many % of players played each route, so the popularity is not there enough to warrant the benefit of the doubt, and the original idea and its narratives never made it into the final game.
I like Rhea as much as the next guy, and I like SS, but this is an unironic cope.
