i played MW5 and you cannot swap out entire sections of a mech, just the weapons in the available slots and internal components
there are variants of mechs with differences but nothing of customization
it was 50k so you couldnt just run all over the map, you had to pass through warzones for money just to keep going

We did very briefly see what looked like a turret on top of one of the ships, moving independently from the direction of the ship. If not vanilla, then mods will fix it.

I really miss unvoiced text. Just a brief greeting to get an idea of the character's voice, then all the chit-chat and lore they'd care to share in text using a vocabulary tailored to their personalities.
