wasn't completely blown away by FM8's graphics, it just looks on par with Horizon now since they love to do foggy atmospherics with loads of motion blur.
If anything, it makes me think FM7 was ahead of it's time, it has a clean crisp look that still generally holds up today.

It's a reboot/reimagining of the franchise so they dropped the number to imply a fresh start. And yes it's a live service game too (as was FM7).
I wonder what they're going to call the sequel after this though. Surely they can't go with FM2 again.
