Help me find a game

It was a point-and-click puzzle/adventure game with a female protagonist that looked similar to pic related.
The game's animations made it feel like it was running at 12fps. I remember characters and dialogue being a very important part of the general gameplay.
The story started in a museum of sorts.
I remember having played it 10-15 years ago, but have no recollection of the name.

Heavy Rain?

Heavy rain starts in a house

deus ex

No! Absolutely not!
The game I played had a more realistic artstyle.
No cel-shading whatsoever.
I remember that in the first hour of the game you had to talk to some people in a museum, go outside said museum, stare into a well, talk to some old guy in front of the museum and then head down to the shore? and convince another old guy.
The cover of the game had 15th century da vinci motives; I think it depicted someone wearing a white mask in it, but I'm not 100% on that detail.

i had the game you're talkign about but barely played it. give me some time to find it

that's wonderful, user! It was an old game, probably released sometime between 2000 and 2006 or 7

it was first person, wasn't it? that's what i remember at least

No, it had a 3rd person camera. Not exactly an over the-shoulder one but a general one depicting the scene and environment that the main character was in.

This?

Wait, like Phantasmagoria or whatever it was called?

Unfortunately, no. The game had a more grounded and realistic character design.
And I think the 1st scene was the MC using a telescope and looking into the stars.
TO be fair the 1st place could have been an observatory and not a museum.

Here are some adventure game covers, maybe it will help you.
