Portal is the best game ever made. Just the right amount of horror, just the right amount of comedy, one (1) character in total that is perfectly written, a mechanic that can only be done in video games and puzzles that activate the almonds without ever getting annoying. It's literally without flaw.

Portal just has an unsettling atmosphere, but nothing that's directly meant to freak the player out. I think the We Were Here series was generally better at that, although even those games are mostly just spooky adventures.
