If I wanted a sci fi game with fleshed out characters and space politics, Mass Effect probably does that better.
If I wanted a sci fi game that's a shooter looter with good gunplay and interesting weapons, Borderlands, Destiny, Warframe, etc does that better.
If I wanted a sci fi game that's all about exploring open vast alien worlds and ecosystems, then No Man's Sky does that better.
Combining those aspects SHOULD be a slam dunk, but based on the trailer it doesn't do any of those things particularly well.
