Anyone else not really feeling Xenoblade 3?
And no, it's not because of character designs. They look fine. The Oroborous designs however are ugly and shit. The whole merged world, merged gameplay mechanics, two types of artes with two types of cooldowns, bringing back gems and field skills (two horrible mechanics from both games). The main character and his fried are from "Colony 9" just like Shulk. The whole merged 1+2 motif just puts me off. I don't like it.
I like the flute music though.

I think the game will have a tougher time carving its own identity since its whole thing is merging 1 and 2 together. After this they should probably go back to keeping things standalone, though I'll probably enjoy the novelty of this game's premise.

I actually hope this is the end of the series. Unless they do something with X, then there's no reason to make another Xenoblade. Just make a new IP.
They will probably make Klaus relevant again somehow which is silly imo. How many games can rehash the same "villain"?

I've been avoiding the threads to stay free from spoilers. I'd like to go in fresh. That said I don't really feel the designs and wasn't pulled in by the trailers as much as the other games.

No xeno will top 2 for a while if ever. Doubt we will have this big number of artists or nomura again. Also westoids complained about fanservice and was removed. I just enjoyed xenoblade 2 and it's like FF7 all over again.

Gem crafting was the worst part about 1 and it returns. Field skills was the worst part about 2 and it returns. Now it only needs to be filled with tons of quests that require multiple of an item that have Kosmos spawn rates and an unfunny chapterly gag ran into the ground it will be the perfect combination of shit.
