Every day you can go into the VIP shop and tab over into the VIP points shop to purchase an FP refill drink. It's incredibly useful for new players

The main festivals are permanently there and can be done to raise your owner level up to a certain point, and it's generally easier to unlock gravure panels there.

The event matches change every week and also offer a ton of rewards as you go through them and raise your event score. They are the main way you get V-stones once you've finished the main matches. On the day of the game update the event matches will disappear and only the main festivals will be available, so if you wanted to go hard on event festivals and then swap to main during that day off that's always an option.
The grind for event currency is a bitch too btw.

Never ever spend your v-stones on the default venus banner that they offer free spins on each day. The best swimsuits from that banner are nothing compared to the modern swimsuits they offer via trendies and nostalgia banners.
Save your v-stones for a trendy you really like.

Also you're going to have to learn to accept that lady luck will not always smile in your favor. The base rate for SSR are 1.1% and the highest they go are 3.3%.
Ideally you want to save stones for a nice 3.3% banner if your goal is to unlock girls. Not a step up 3.3% but a real 3.3%. Step up means that it's 1.1% for every pull except the final step where it gets changed to 3.3% for that one pull.

On the topic of banners you want to generally avoid 2 girl trendy banners because the swimsuit pool is usually diluted with generic SSR from the venus banner or the weekly banner. 2 girl banners are usually trap banners unless they specifically state that only the trendy swimsuit will appear there.
Always check the banner info bubble if you're not sure and it'll give you the % and pool of swimsuits available.

Every week one can earn around ~20k v-stones with minimal grinding. Now way a new player will finish all of the event festival matches but I'd say like 15k is still possible.
