Legitimately this. The video game industry from back then isn't the same as it is now. Effectively, the start of the changes were in gen 6 and it was for the best. We wouldn't have the industry we have today and the industry has grown and changed overtime. Video games is one of, if not THE, biggest grossing entertainment industries in the world. If the games were garbage the industry wouldn't be thriving like it is now. Or did you want the industry to die by not growing with the technology and becoming nearly completely engrained in regular every day culture by bringing in new, younger players who just so happen to like the games you all hate so much (including CoD, Madden and any sports simulator, FIFA, GTA, story driven games which are good enough to get their own TV shows and movies, etc)?
