What is it about Pokemon that makes boomers seethe so much?

they didn't have it growing up

I can appreciate that kids love it. My dad didn't like everything I liked either, obviously.

Back in the day, they thought it was some dumb Japanese fad that would be forgotten about. But then it kept going and making more money, more games, more movies, more merch and increasing its presence in pop culture, which angered them since in their mind that's not how it's supposed to happen.

phone bad

Don't adults and kids who study lurch over a textbook for hours??

Pokemon Go players actually have their phone in front of them so the camera can catch everything, they aren't looking down. Goes to show the cartoonist doesn't actually know what the game is about.

This but unironically. Handheld access to internet has been a disaster for the human race.

Pokemon Go, specifically. It was by far the most popular game for a while and since you need to play it outside it was a big cause of people staring at their phones much more outside. Also, the media warning about it

Damn Pokemon creature...!!

It's ALWAYS Pikachu, boomers really can't recognize any other Pokemon, can they?

I think a game forcing you to go outside had something to do with it

mandatory euthanasia and organ harvesting for all b**mers

Hit 30 recently. Realized I wasted 20 years of my life staring at a screen. Boomers were probably right.
