It's not Half-Life's fault that it was badly copied over and over again by others devs who were incapable of replicating the formula correctly.

No Doom and Quake fans hate Half Life for slowing the pace down and ushering in cinematic first person movie games

It's pretty incredible to me that Half Life came out only 4 years after Doom. Technology was advancing so fast back then and now we get a decade of the same game being rereleased

Counter Strike ruined the genre. Halo has better combat than Half Life and isn't 1/2 a game where you aren't actually shooting something.
