True, TTYD, while still decent, was a downgrade
What about that bug game
I liked some of the newer badges but level design took a hit

wasn't that cancelled?
Paperfags don't deserve rights
I hope Project Pop-Up isn't killed again. I really want to have a proper HD project that isn't just an unfitting TTYD or nuPM styled retexture.
Paperkeks can never finish a project unless it has bugs in it.
Mario and Luigi look worse
Paper Mario never had soul beyond the first game. Fuck TTYD.
>Skip dialogue in 64 by holding down the B button
>Skip dialogue in TTYD onwards by mashing A
>Skip dialogue in Color Splash by waiting for the text to scroll, then pressing A
What were they thinking?
the 60fps was nice, and it's worth playing, but the locations and partners in the first game are unable to be a topped
>off-model
why would people waste their time like that?
TTYD had soul, it just wasn't the same soul as the original.
I replayed it when it came to switch. Had just as much fun as I did when I was a kid.
ok shut your mouth faggot TTYD was an upgrade to the first game that retained most (not all) of the soul. Literally everything was improved but the soul was dying and completely dead by super paper mario, which it symbolizes well through its apocalyptic and tragic story.
How do i mod Paper Mario 64?
But I will say, at this point I would take super over literally anything after. I miss the soul era of games so bad I would compramise for a game like super even just to get something halfway as good as the originals felt.
Paper Mario is an average rpg. It's definitely overrated
PM and TTYD flow really well in my opinion. I don't really see them as separate.
SPM gamplaywise is a mixed bag, but I do really like the setting. It still feels like a Paper Mario isekai game.
Everything else after that is LOL WE'RE PAPER the game with shitty gimmick gamplay at worst and bleh gameplay at best.
FAK YOU GAIJIN YOU WIRR PRAY ORIGAMI KINGU AND YOU WIRR ROVU IT FAK YOU FAK YOU FAK YOU FAKYOUFAKYOUFAKYOUFAKYOU REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I cucked for origami king out of nostalgic desperation, having not bought or played any of them since super paper mario. I thought it looked gorgeous honestly and the visuals made me wanna get cozy and love the game so badly. But the fighting mechanic was stupid and something about the dialogue just felt off to me in a way I can't put into words. Also the bomb uy dying was so fuckin stupid, bomb ombs in the paper mario universe blow themselves up and come back all the time, that shit was so forced.
Finally played TTYD for the first time last year and I preferred 64 overall yeah. It felt more grounded in the Mario setting with Bowser being a proper threat and the music was better. The train chapter in TTYD was comfy though

for fucks sake, the first couple paper mario games give you bomb-omb partners and their entire gimick is explosion attacks where they repeatedly blow themselves up.
Olivia was cute and funny though.
god my dick would be in ribbons
For me the fact that TTYD was totally out of scope for the broader Mario universe was super fun
