If you dont like it right away just drop it

yakuza games are actually just TV shows with mild gameplay sections
you could give zero a try and if that doesn't work the series isn't for you

everyone praises it but the constant enemy encounters are getting on my nerves. the fights are brainless, it's just an annoyance

no, the fighting doesn't get any better

its called an RPG
if you dont like RPGs go play the other 7 yakuza games which have real time skill based dodge n punch combat.

Hobo dragon quest is fucking awesome

I bought this game last December when it was on sale but haven’t played it yet. Currently addicted to Elden Ring. I’ve only played kiwami, I don’t even know anything about Like a Dragon except that the combat is different from Kiwami. I bought FF13 Lightning Returns on a whim once and ended up dropping it. I hope this game isn’t like that.

You made this thread yesterday. You're still filtered.

i miss fucking up dudes as kiryu..

I loved it. The beginning was pretty slow though once you get past that dude hanging himself in the brother chapter and recruit Saiko it gets better.

It's actually my favorite Yakuza game. Yes I've played them all.

The encounters in Yakuza 7 are way more common than in the other games and even compared to the retro JRPGs its shamelessly knocking off the encounter rate is still ridiculous

it gets worse because it gets random battles after the intro part

>getting filtered 3 hours in
HAHHAHAHAHAHAH

Filtered by what? Fucking boredom? Fucking retard

lmao i got "filtered" by this game the same way

jap trash

What's with all the anti-Yakuza threads lately?

The good thing is that random encounters can be avoided. But the fun part of early game Y7 is being low leveled and testing which group of higher level enemies you can take.

People praise it for the yakuza stuff
The combat isn’t good at all here and is the worst part in general, so don’t listen to anyone who tells you it’s the reason to play it

how do i avoid them, they're constantly standing where i wanna go and interrupting me from exploring or listening to the characters talk. running away from active battles sucks ass and takes a lot of time too

The combat is still pretty dogshit before they bloat it with sponges and useless skills and it’s way more annoying to avoid enemy encounters now since it’s a cone of vision which they instantly initiate a fight if you step in instead of chasing you
Basically just don’t go near the street their own
There isn’t a reliable way of doing it

>Does it get better
The story only makes less sense the further you go. The spoilers defy science and logic.

More people are playing the games for the first time.
