Quake on GBA leaked
Quake on GBA leaked

GBA was a seriously impressive piece of hardware. Some of those racing titles looks like early DS games.
The idea of getting excited over a cancelled port for the GBA in 2022 requires a level of autism I can no longer marshal up, even though I would have loved it back when the GBA was hot
Neat
You might not like it but this is what genuine game preservation looks like
99% of "game preservation" consists of scams to separate nerds from their money. The real shit is this turbo autism stuff.
Imagine if developers today were capable of this kind of optimization.
>non centered gun model in Quake
Wtf
Theres a thousand not-video game related threads for you to shitpost in. Why are you in one of the threads talking about video games if you dont even like them in the first place?
HUnH[/spoiler
There's a recent port of Tomb Raider on GBA and it's really close to the PS1 version.
Because by the time of the GBA we had figured out centered guns are fucking lame
As cool as it is, it's just openlara as the video says. If it was official then that's more interesting. It's why official ports of 8th gen games to switch or the original Xbox ports of PC games like half life 2 get some type of legacy.
It didn't "leak" it was an unofficial tech demo the developer gave to Forest Of Illusion to release.
wheres video of it
Impresive stuff
Especially since the system didnt have built-in 3D acceleration or support acceleration hardware on-cart the way the NES/SNES did.
It was just flexible and powerful enough to open up those avenues by itself.
the gba cpu was like 5 times faster than the snes one
Spoiler alert it's not a "source port" because you can't run quake on GBA no matter how hard you try
It's a recreation of quake using whatever means work for the platform
>Spoiler alert it's not a "source port" because you can't run quake on GBA no matter how hard you try
sure you can. it'd be a literal slideshow, but you can
10 times faster, actually
You can do 3D on GBA, you just can't do quake
Nah, Quake was a RAM hog. You'd have to massively overhaul its "just allocate more buffers, bro" approach to optimisation to have a chance.
What's an gba?
