What parts of RE4 are you most excited to see in the remake? I think the sewers with the novistadors, and later on the labs could be really scary if they do it justice.

assuming they dont get cut...

It will probably be missing shit they said it's a "re-imagining" they might even cut the merchant

I'm excited for the initial village encounter where you have to survive, that's one part that I think they'll do well in the remake. I'm really curious about the castle and how it's gonna be with a more horror vibe

>never played RE4 but liked modern REs and I'm excited for the remake
how much am I missing if I don't play the original? is it even well functional on PC? frankly, I don't think I could endure the tank gameplay. controls are, what I think, the main focal point of why the remake is "necessary".

the tank controls are tight as hell, it's one of the best games ever made. only issue with the pc version is that some qtes are a bit weird and you have to mash faster than normal, but it's a non-issue really

Everything will be cut out. It will be the Village 2. Screenshot this.

The mecha Salazar

>finally picked up RE4 on sale
The game has more or less been thoroughly spoiled for at this point, so I might as well ask.
>TMP or Rifle?
>Upgrade shotgun until Strker or switch out for riot gun?
If difficulty is an option, I'll probably pick the highest since I already know so much

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO literally one of the best elements.

youll probably miss alot, especially if they go down the route they did with re3 of cutting lots. i was in similar position and went back and played re4 for first time. its so worth it bro...

The Big Cheese
Luis interactions
El Gigante
Garrador fight
Salazar interactions
Ada interactions and how they will pick up from where RE2 remake left off
Verdugo fight

do the highest difficulty and just pick the weapons you think are the coolest. everything is viable unlike in RE8, and ammo for weapons that are low will appear more frequently

I don't even think he'll make it

>they might even cut the merchant
have none of you niggers played or even watched any footage of RE8? it has a mysterious primordial merchant as well and even references the RE4 merchant. everyone knows how iconic the RE4 merchant is.

It's not really that hard to control you just need to run and use the quick turn when you get swarmed. It's over the shoulder so there's no camera confusion .

you might as well play it. not only is it a masterpiece but it will be more fun comparing everything when the remake releases.

>highest difficulty
>punisher with the free upgrade only
Got it user

not what I meant but have fun

You still have to beat the game on normal to unlock pro difficulty

>TMP or Rifle?
there's no reason not to have both, having one of each weapon type is essential and is worth the inventory space. TMP is great for DPS and being extremely efficient against anything that only needs a single shot, and rifle is almost necessary in certain parts, and is the best way to kill from a distance.

forgot about that

>carrying all weapons at once
Uhm....no? That's retarded, you kinda need some space for minor things, like ammo.

You get a big case eventually that allows a good sized arsenal you can easily carry a handgun, TMP, shotgun and sniper rifle

I like the TMP, I don't get the hate. You can use it same as the pistol for setting up kicks/suplexes and in emergencies the DPS gets crazy once you upgrade it. Good for deleting dogs and other annoying enemies. You get ammo all the time and get a full refill each time you upgrade the capacity.

The bolt-action rifle however is my actual gunfu in this game. It's like a magnum only more accurate and with more plentiful ammo. The bolt cycling and reload animations are pure kino.

I usually leave the shotgun bone stock and skip the riot gun. Base shotgun is still useful to clear some breathing room around yourself until you can get and upgrade the Striker.

I'm sure they'll butcher both the village and the island (lab segment anyone?), but the castle looks promising. I think they'll try and make it more spooky.

>I don't think I could endure the tank gameplay
What is so hard about tank controls? I seriously never understood this. Forward to go forward, left and right to turn, backwards to go backwards. Do the people that bitch about these controls ever actually try to use them? They're not difficult in the slightest.

Anyone ever do bad weapon runs just for fun?

Punisher, Shotgun, Mine Thrower, semi-auto rifle only for regenerators

>being that greedy about inventory space that you won't have the appropriate weapon for each situation
nigga you dumb? enjoy constantly getting ammo for weapons you don't have and letting it go to waste. the game was designed so you at the very least have a handgun, shotgun, rifle, and the TMP in your inventory at all times.

>Mine Thrower
It's unironically good.

>I like the TMP, I don't get the hate.
just keep in mind there are ADULT players that somehow run out of ammo in this game that is very generous with ammo. those are the kind of retards that don't realize how useful the TMP is. it's the best boss weapon after the magnum, and can just cheese ganados with single shots to the head for melee or knocking them to the ground with leg shots.

they confirmed that the merchant is in the game and is black. ayo whatcha buyin, white boy?

What more do you need really.

Well I'm already expecting a decent intro level, then passable mid level and bare bones / unfinished final level.

Krsuser is either getting super fleshed out or cut entirely into, so I'm excited for that narrative change either way. And regenerators.

I just started a new playthrough and I'm going to invest into the first handgun just for its 5x crit exclusive even though it will be shit for most of the game. i always go with striker so ill do shotgun this time. it's boring not upgrading anything until way later.
