The world of Skyrim

Does anyone else think the world of Skyrim was a lot more boring than it should have been? Maybe I just misread the lore from Morrowind/Oblivion, but I was expecting a land of very frigid snowy wastes, and the Nords basically being all like barbarians or vikings. I was expecting more mystical shit with the Nords getting power from the snowy lands or animals and stuff. Instead most of the map kind of just feels like temperate forests and most of the Nords are sort of just like these normal villagers. Was I wrong to expect something else? The Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind I thought felt cooler than most of Skyrim, and even Bruma in Oblivion was cooler than most Skyrim towns imo.

Also shouldnt most of Skyrim be really snowy and cold considering that its all north of Bruma, which was snowy and cold? And yet it seems like only the really north of the Skyrim map is like this.

>le frigid snowy wastes
>le everyone is a viking
no that would be boring as fuck. fuck off with nordic viking bullshit already im so sick and tired of it

Nords got domesticated after Queen Alessia convinced them to cuck their own pantheon. They corrupted their own faith to appease elfish sensibilities of former Ayleid slaves. Basically, Nords a shit.

Pretty difficult to have a giant flying sky whale that gives everyone LSD trips off of an outdated engine. Also the Xbox 360 was really trash.

cope snoy. 360 mogged ps3

this and /thread
Oblivion botched Cyrodiil but what we got with Skyrim was much better than
>le totem-worshipping timeless retards xDxD
that you see in literally every other setting

>le mohamad has an opinion

Yes.
>didn't feel like a harsh land at all
>no warrior culture to speak of and felt extremely dry and dull
>no flying whales
>no bizarre bullshit at all
>no alien nature to anything
Skyrim is easily the worst TES game.

how many fucking open world roleplaying games are there that actually have a lot of viking shit and norse mythology? i cant even think of any. surely any game that went hard on that would be more unique than what we actually got

ubishit shat one out
go play it and realize why its a bad idea

In 2011 it was different! (kind of)

But yeah, Skyrim is pretty fucking boring. The overworld is better than Oblivion's in areas, but otherwise the entire game is a step backwards especially in terms of roleplaying (not that Oblivion was good roleplaying either).

The Witcher 3

Wow, user! 1. That's amazing. A game that only came out 2020. 9 Years after Skyrim!

Kill yourself, subhuman mutt. Post hand.

the quest in bloodmoon where you do all the rituals had more soul than anything in skyrim. there was the stone where you had the horker lead you somewhere, the cave of music with the stones that made sounds, the cave that lit up when you defeated the big monster. it felt like there was a mystical connection with the land and the elements. i wish skyrim had more of that.

How about you learn how to speak english first shitskin

bait thread confirmed

It's like they blew their load with Whiterun and called it a day. Whiterun has the only Warrior's guild, the only long house, the only interesting Nord npcs.

wheres all the barbarians? thats what i was wondering. arent most nords basically meant to be barbarian class?

AC Valhalla was bad for other reasons, and is definitely NOT an RPG lol

>implying skyrim didnt dumb nords down to being 'just vikings' anyways by stripping anything unique they had going for them lorewise and dumbing them down

It's 30 minutes long but worth a watch. Very interesting.

its worse than that. skyrim turned most of the nords basically into yeoman villagers

Yes
>The Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind I thought felt cooler than most of Skyrim
agreed. I have always felt this way. They are making their games too generic. Skyrim DLC had some fantastic areas and the underground was cool otherwise it felt like i was walking around outside my house (i live in a rainforest in canada)

I dont want to hear some jackass tell me they needed to make the games more generic because people wouldnt like weird shit. elden ring is weird as fuck and people thought the lore they saw was cool. People will put up with a lot of weirdness in games. bethesda needs to not be scared to go there.

>and is definitely NOT an RPG
Someone tell Ubisoft because they themselves consider it an action RPG

Skyrim feels half the size it should have been
It did the non frozen bits okay, but the frozen parts should have been massive and full of crazy nonsense
