Most forgettable, at the very least.

Well this is no surprise since the majority of COD fans have always loved the MW series of games the most. What does surprise me is that Activision themselves don't seem to have gotten this until more recently. It was foolish for them to have stopped with MW3.

Bots and third worlders

MW3 was rocked by development issues with a huge chunk of Infinity Ward leaving to make Respawn and the game definitely suffered. I can see why they maybe let them try their own thing for a couple games but obviously it didn’t work out

Vanguard on the other hand was a disaster and probably the worst COD ever made.
Not only it was WWII again, but it wasn't even the actual WWII, it was a millennial fanfic where a super nazi killed Hitler and for some reason made the 4th Reich, just so they could have you kill the big bad nazi since killing Hitler yourself would be retarded.
It was so woke even Kotaku called them out on it.

nothing scary about it, they rebooted the Modern Warfare series, because literally everyone asked for a new game set in the present times after they did 3 future games in a row (and people did not like them)
