Only the last act of the game and the post game dlc dungeon are actually good

Why does Any Forums love this game so much?

I'm going through for the first time and the world feels nice. I'm sure the dragon thing will be important at some point but it's nice to not be harangued into some fake rush of a plot.

Combat and party based fantasy adventure.

>I'm going through for the first time
It's only fun the first time. It's when you go back and replay that you realize how enormously flawed a game it is.

>only the last act of the game and the post game dlc dungeon are actually good
That's legitimately like 90% of the game or more.

I'm replaying right now, none of the flaws matter since I discovered the joy of bonking everything with a big stick as a Warrior.

Don't play it if you don't like it, what's so difficult to grasp here. Some people really like it for many different reasons depending on who you ask and others don't. You don't so leave it.

Because the good parts are so fucking good that they carry the bad parts all the way into an 8/10 game.
Bitterback Isle is still the single best piece of expansion for an RPG that I've ever seen.

I just started the game and i'm already getting filtered by the lizard people in the sewers.

Go back later

Don't go back later you can do it at lvl 1. Don't be a pussy, buy a better weapon in cassardis, it'll be enough.

lol

it's good from start to finish. from the very moment you get your heart taken, hell, from the tutorial even.

Because it's still the best party based open world ARPG adventure on the market.

That's why im hoping for expanded remaster instead of DD2.

Because of this endgame should be good not crap bullshit like elden ring

Are you kidding? Last part of the game was linear garbage. Only enjoyable part of DD was the middle when you're finally allowed to explore and discover shit in your own, but even that wears off after your third gryphon attack.

You just need ice as mage or set it in your pawn so it uses instead of other element cause pawn are retard at start

>t.i cannot play and enjoy a curated experience. I must run around and unga bunga "explore".

Unironically because the game oozes soul. Yes, it's blatantly unfinished, its middle section is padded by fetch quests, story beats are poorly set up and rushed through, side quests feel unfinished, and the open world is pretty fucking barren. But none of it matters, because through all the half finished nonsense trimmed for time or budget restraints shines the brilliant light of a development team deeply in love with their ideas and trying their hardest to bring them to life despite it all. The moments where the game performs at its best are fantastic. There's so many small touches to it that show it was developed with care.

It's why so many people desperately want a sequel. We really want to see the same game, but with its flaws ironed out and a budget appropriate for the scale it wanted to go for.

there's fuck all to explore

I find it to be fun

The world is small though and the enemies and combat are fucking cool.
>there's fuck all to explore
Same with BotW but people still suck that game's dick into oblivion for some reason.

the rest of the game is just as good, just not the story
I've played through the entire game at least half a dozen times, it never stops being fun

>All these DD threads
Lads I'm feeling it. Sequel soon

if you're doing too little damage or dying too quickly, get better gear
if you can't afford it, go do something else and come back later
