That's exactly the problem though. There is a spectrum of "liking" and normalfags always "like" things on the most superficial level. This is why Any Forums constantly goes back and forth on games being "soulless" and "pozzed" because their changes are often designed to cater towards an audience with a very superficial appreciation of a given game or its systems. People who actually "like the games" are essentially filtered out that like "things about" the game, who otherwise don't actually give a shit about whether or not the game improves in any way. This overlaps the subjectivity debate in aesthetics which is the cornerstone of modern culture.

You didn't understand the point then. 99% of the time people on this board say someone has shit taste, it's after that person has articulated why they like what they like for the specific reasons they do, and the other person just can't agree to disagree.
