This game wa Slidell largely developed remotely and even though things are going back to normal it’s not like that time lost didnt make a difference.

I dont think this is anything to do with elden ring. I'd say everyone delaying games is more due to how bad the reception to broken cyberpunk was at launch so nobody wants to release broken games now.

There are rumors of a PS5 Pro already being in the works, predicted for late 2023 early 2024 iirc.
Basically; for when the PS5's library will actually have some worthwhile meat on its bones.

I.e. you bought a console that's going to be outdated by the time you'll actually get to really play games on it.

Cyberpunk didn’t really change anything. There will continue to be broken games coming out regardless. Sony Santa Monica is a good studio and they probably wanted to ensure the game was as good as it can b. Has nothing to do with cyberpunk. A lesser studio wouldn’t care.
