It has some standouts like the banished knight, fingerprint and raging wolf sets. I know people complain they're reskins but I love the regional knight sets too, redmane and cuckoo knight armor just look very nice but overall you're right the armor selection is the weakest out of any from soft game in that formula. Dark Souls 2 is a mess but it has by far the best fashion.

It seems they tried hard making some of the armour sets look unique and different without accounting good aesthetic designs for them. Like with the Drake set for an instance as well.

A mix of Cuckoo Knight and vagabond starting set has been carrying me for most of the game, I don’t mind but I wouldn’t mind something new.

There's so many good sets with stupid helmets in Elden Ring but the way the colors are set up makes mixing and matching is nearly impossible. They should have let you dye armor pieces in the alter garments menu.

Why does every set have a stupid helmet?
All of the helmets are too small for your characters head. They physically wouldn't fit in the fingerprint helm, the cleanrot helm, or any of the knight helmets.

Exile set looks cool actually, reminds me of Gael
Also the Scalet set and Night's Cavalry
Still nothing as /fa/ as Dark Souls 3 Knight set

ER is second only to DS2 in the fashion department.

The leggings are cool, but yeah you should've been able to remove the horns through altering.

DS2 has armors that look good in the artwork and then look like dogshit when you equip them.

Beast Champion with Navy Hood and Maliketh with Sanguine Noble Hood are probably the best looking combinations.

It just needs fitting chestplate decorations, like a huge bull-goat face emblem over the chest, and it looks great
