My preference goes
Grappler > big body > unorthodox >waifu/husbando

Good or at least decent movement, cool looking combos, satisfying to play. I usually prefer mid range characters with good buttons, even better if they have some unorthodox mechanics. Venom is my main and ideal.

Annoying movement options like forward dashes, teleports, slides etc anything that can help me unleash my inner gorilla and close the distance to my opponent as fast as possible ie:
>blanka in street fighters
>julia in tekken
>chipp in gg

only problem is stuff like good kof games . where i like 5+ characters design but only 1-2 gameplay
