I only ever played mario 64 and some of the 2d games on my gemeboy. 64 was fun, the 2d games sucked dick, I remember the way mario slides around being super annoying to me as a kid. overall I don't have strong feeling for the franchise, it's just something I played a long time ago and will probabaly never touch again
