The few times I tried to play gacha I couldn't stand it for more than few weeks. After the first few hours the "gameplay" is a senseless resource gathering for more resource gathering later, all the while keeping up with daily and weekly bullshit and managing your limited resources, and you spend most of time navigating menus.
I'm convinced that people who make and play gacha actually hate videogames.
