By running away, half the time getting clipped by the second attack, and spam rolling the third.
Nowadays I just freeze pot. Way easier.

It's honestly not that bad.
The only reason why it is bullshit, is because the first flurry is very unintuative on how you are supposed to dodge it.
But once you figure it out, it is a completely fine attack.
And even if you don't figure it out, there are so many ways to soft counter it.
>Stagger her out of the air ( unreliable though)
>Block (still take some damage if no shield, and she gets to heal from it)
>Literally just spamming dodge (Will usually allow you to avoid all but one of the hits)
>Bloodhound step
>Running away (Only works if you are far away from her)
And the second and third flurry are completely honest and easy to figure out.

Freeze pot is very unreliable as it is to slow if you don't throw it the very instant she goes up into the air. And even then, if you are to far away, the pot won't land until her animation has started, which doesn't stagger her.
It also only works 2 times and then her build up has gotten to high resist.

All of that is true.
None of it is a problem if you don't use colossal weapons/colossal swords, you can get the timing down perfect- Malenia can ONLY use the attack when she's under attack. She CAN'T use it just by walking towards you, you MUST attack her to prompt it- so with a fast weapon just be prepared to throw it when you do. Easy as that.
Also, it can only be done twice? Yep. So kill her quickly. That's just a problem for DPSlets.
