Listen you shithead, I appreciate the guard for what they are and they're one of my favorite faction in DoW Dark Crusade/Soulstorm. But from what I've seen of Darktide it looks fucking boring as shit. Lasguns, autoguns, and dinky versions of chainswords and power hammers. A Deathwatch game could be so much more, since you're marines you get all the wacky fun weapons that the setting has to offer from Bolters to Plasma Cannons to Meltas to Power Swords to Thunderhammers. A much wider arsenal and because of that you could get way more varied enemy types. Wow, in Darktide we can kill... more Rotbloods that are barely reskinned from their Vermintide counterparts. Deathwatch could have rotbloods, bloodletters, tyranids, daemons of all kinds, Chaos marines, all that. It's needlessly limiting.
