Copying N64 style

Does this model seem posible under the mario 64 style and N64 limits?

242 faces with a mirror modifier.

fuck off chris

the polygon looks convincing but the shading is wrong

>skin of nigger
ew black nope bye

mario 64 had no lighting but ambient light.

cris why do all your models have that weird wide pose?

Needs trilinear texture filtering but also don't make the textures too high resolution if you're after the N64 aesthetic

its not even funny anymore man you have been at this for years now. have you even finished your cowboy game yet?

because is easier to draw and rig and overall texture.

It's not an issue because you can close the legs when animating.

yes.

mario if he balrog

that could be way less than 242. shirt, shoes, and hands too detailed.

Fuck off cris

Cris please, how much longer are you going to do this.

yes, but a model from the n64 was 500 polys, so is technicaly around the same poly budget.

Reduce the amount of polys on the chest and ponytail

hi cris! :3

dont compromise on optimization.

if someone made a ball in an n64 game, do you know how many polies it would have? zero, because theyd just use a billboard. yeah, they could make a 500 poly sphere, but why waste the resources?

because we have RTX cards now.

someone post the "fuck off cris" pic i dont have it

then make a fucking ue5 tech demo and not an n64 style game.

FUCK
OFF
CRIS

>unironically giving cris advice
die newfags

because that requires at million dollar professional team.

based cris making the braindead agdg crabs seethe

and turning a 100 poly shirt into 50 doesnt.

i have no clue who you are or what this meme is, but im starting to see why it started. dont ask for advice then try to justify not following it.

there's not need on saving polygons autism for a 500 faces model on 2022, when is just enough to be under a similar budget of what the N64 models were, which was around 500 faces.

then next time dont bother asking for advice if you didnt want any.

If you're trying to replicate the look of an N64 game exactly, then you should be trying to match it as closely in polycount number as possible

>242 faces with a mirror modifier.
So it's actually 484 faces of quads?
That's almost 1k tris
You can achieve much more with 1k budget

I just want to ask if it feels like the n64, not that it can run on the original game.

>if it feels like the n64
it doesnt. lower the count.
