First of all, buy the welkin asap to start accumulating primos. Then buy the battlepass and try to work towards the easier missions. Its extremely value. The next purchase I would recommend would be tall of the gem packs once, it gives 100% extra primogems so you actually save half your money. Packs have crazy value in genshin.

You do a billion little miniquests to raise your rank and then the game lets you continue with the archon quest and suddenly you're batman.
Then you fight a dragon.
Then Venti gets the shit kicked out of him by a girl.
Then you go to NotChina.
Then you get chased into the mountains.
Then you do a billion fetchquests for a guy who totally isn't God.
Then you fight another dragon.
Then another billion little quests until the game says "enough, you can go to Inazuma now" and you do that.
Then you get your shit kicked in by samurai and you whine that they're damage sponges because you need an actual damage dealer now.
Then you help out Best Girl Kazari.
Then some other shit happens but nobody cares because it doesn't involve Kazari.
Then you go into Underwaterworld.
Then you go into the Chasm.
